Bicara Anak Muda with the Statesman YABhg Tun Mahathir Mohamad at the Yayasan Kepimpinan Perdana.

This program has run smoothly and is loaded with messages and advice from YABhg Tun to youngsters in facing the challenges of life in the future.

Among other things mentioned is, young people need to change their culture and thinking if they want to excel. Young people should feel ashamed if they can't do something triumphantly. If they feel ashamed to fail then they will try their best to do something until they succeed. That is among the culture and thinking of the Japanese society that we can apply in Malaysian society, especially among the Malays.

In facing the competition to get a job, young people are advised to use the skills they have such as digital skills that are less mastered by the senior generation. With these strengths and advantages, young people can explore opportunities in new fields according to their current needs and skills. Young people do not have to compete for job opportunities that have been dominated by the senior generation until they have to wait for them to vacate the position after retirement to be filled by the younger generation.

YABhg Tun's views and advice are always contemporary and appropriate to the times. At an advanced age, Tun still reads a lot to keep up with current world developments and is continuously able to provide a sharp and relevant view of the current situation.

At the end of the session, Tun told the young people to fulfil their responsibility to choose a good government through the democratic process that is practiced in this country. Society has placed the belief that the age of 18 is mature enough to elect the government. Do not be deceived by bribery to vote for certain candidates if you are offered a payment because it will cause adverse impacts to the country and the people for an extended period of time.

May all these words become a very meaningful supply for the young people who are selected to follow this session.
