A monitoring and evaluation visit was conducted for trainees in Northern Malaysia from 21 to 24 July 2026. The main objective of the visit was to reconnect with the trainees, assess their overall progress, and provide them with an opportunity to share their academic experiences and personal development throughout their studies. During the visit, the trainees openly discussed the challenges they faced, including academic, personal, and adjustment-related issues. These discussions allowed the YEF MSIA team to better understand their needs while offering appropriate guidance, encouragement, and support.
The visit also served as an important platform to strengthen relationships between the trainees, their peers, and the YEF MSIA team. Through meaningful conversations and interactive engagement, the sessions fostered a sense of belonging, encouraged mutual support among trainees, and reinforced YEF MSIA's commitment to their educational journey and overall well-being.
As part of the program, the YEF MSIA team hosted meals with the trainees and provided groceries. This informal gathering created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, allowing trainees to interact comfortably with the YEF MSIA team while building friendships with each other. The relaxed atmosphere also encourages open communication, allowing trainees to express their opinions, exchange experiences, and build stronger relationships within the YEF MSIA community.
Overall, the monitoring and evaluation visits are a meaningful and rewarding experience for everyone involved. In addition to assessing the trainees’ progress, they also strengthen the relationship between YEF MSIA and its trainees while reaffirming the organization’s ongoing commitment to supporting young people throughout their educational journey. By providing ongoing guidance, encouragement, and a network of support, YEF MSIA remains dedicated to empowering its trainees to overcome challenges, achieve their aspirations, and develop into confident, responsible, and future-ready leaders.
